"WHAT SIMULATION ARE YOU LIVING IN?"
This project aims to explore the consequences of overdependence on media and technology in contemporary society. It illustrates what happens when digital experiences become a substitute for real life, disconnecting people from their bodies, environments, and each other. Through this dystopian work, I sought to visualize a world where people have become so immersed in virtual environments that they lose touch with reality, resulting in a metaphorical and literal death of the self. The video is structured as a symbolic journey, beginning with multiple screens filled with alluring, idealized imagery of perfection, then shifting to reveal a coffin-like VR capsule holding a human skeleton. These visuals act as allegories for the collapse of human presence into mediated simulations, exposing how technology and media can seduce us with the promise of utopia while simultaneously masking the erosion of authentic experience. It ultimately raises a critical question for viewers: "What simulation are you living in?"
